COCM Expands Portfolio with Addition of Lafayette College

Selected to serve as manager of the McCartney Street Project, a new Public-Private-Partnership

BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA (PRWEB) MAY 24, 2019

Capstone On-Campus Management (“COCM”) is pleased to announce its recent selection to serve as manager of the McCartney Street Project, a new Public-Private-Partnership (“P3”) development consisting of a 165-bed on-campus student housing community for students of Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.

This selection is the result of a larger partnership between Lafayette College, Radnor Property Group (“Radnor”), and Harrison Street to build a P3 mixed-use residential community to help achieve Lafayette’s strategic institutional goals.

Located on McCartney Street, between March and High Streets, the new residential community will offer a combination of 3- and 4-bedroom suites with kitchenettes and 2-bedroom semi-suites, all with in-unit private or semi-private bathrooms along with amenities including lounges, study rooms and outdoor spaces. The community also includes retail space, a full-service diner, an expanded college and community bookstore and patio seating on the street level. The new community is scheduled for completion in fall 2020.

David Yeager, Managing Partner and Founder of Radnor, said “Radnor is thrilled to advance our relationship with Lafayette with our second partnership together to address growing campus needs.  Together with COCM and Harrison Street our goal is to cultivate long term relationships from ground breaking through operations with highly regarded institutions of learning like Lafayette.”

Radnor and Harrison Street have engaged COCM to manage the new McCartney Street Project under a Shared Governance arrangement with Lafayette College.  Shared governance is a collaborative approach to sharing roles and responsibilities that COCM introduced many years ago, and which has since become an industry standard.

Alton Irwin, Chief Marketing Officer for COCM, said, “McCartney Street Project is COCM’s second P3 student housing project with Radnor and our sixth with Harrison Street.  We appreciate the trust both they and the College have placed in COCM and look forward to our mutual success in serving the Lafayette students.”
