Our Services

COCM offers third-party management and consulting services, exclusively for on-campus housing communities. We take a flexible approach, allowing our university partner and/or owner to determine the scope of our responsibilities. This has resulted in a variety of management agreements from full turn-key arrangements where COCM provides all services for a community to multiple combinations of shared responsibilities with our university partner. Our consulting program, known as Fresh Eyes, is a service we provide to both our current campus partners and other institutions. This service provides recommendations for positioning on-campus housing to grow recruitment and retention, as well as enhance student satisfaction and success.

Student Housing Services

We define success as the community’s ability to stand alone both operationally and financially. Therefore, different services are needed at different universities which is why we offer a variety of services and programs for our partners.

Kern Williams
Regional Manager, COCM

COCM has been a training ground for my student affairs career. I’ve been given a nuanced experience that connects me with university administration and corporate strategies. This combination has given me a depth of knowledge that allows me to meet today’s higher ed challenges and makes me better prepared for what lies ahead in the profession.

General Manager, Walker Avenue Apartments at UMBC

I’m proud to be able to work for a company that provides expertise and support for industry leading best practices in our field, but also allows site directors enough autonomy to customize our approach to the needs of our client institutions.  This approach helps us to bring valuable insights to our University colleagues while also immersing ourselves in the culture of the institution.  In my 13 years with COCM, I’ve had the opportunity to grow within the company, not only through promotions at the site level, but also through opportunities to transfer to other institutions for new experiences.  I love that I get to work with a diverse group of colleagues from across the country, and that COCM supports my professional development through attendance at national conferences.
