Helpful Tips
The best place to find accurate university housing data is directly with your institution’s housing department. What we’re looking for is:
- Residence hall name
- Design Capacity – the capacity it was originally designed to house
- Set Capacity – the capacity the hall is currently set to house (for example, a room designed for two students that is currently used for one or, a room designed for two that that is currently used for three or four students)
If this number is not available from your institution’s Common Data Set, you will need to contact one of the following departments: housing, enrollment management, institutional research.
