Job Title: Director of Housing Operations 

Location: The Daumier at Western University of Health Sciences (Pomona, CA)

Reports to: Regional Manager or Regional Vice President

Salary: $65,000.00 per year (incl. onsite unfurnished apartment)

FLSA Status: Exempt


Capstone On-Campus Management (COCM) and the Provident Resources Group (PRG) have formed a unique partnership focused on providing an excellent living experience for graduate Students attending Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. COCM believes that the right Director will be instrumental for the continued success of this partnership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Director of Housing Operations is to provide leadership and direction for the business affairs and facility management for The Daumier, a student housing community that serves approximately 305 graduate students. Our team members work to ensure a consistent, positive living environment located just on the edge of campus.
Responsibilities include communication and liaison with the Provident Resources Group and Western University of Health Sciences; hiring, training and supervision of professional staff (1 assistant director, 1 office coordinator, 1 maintenance supervisor, and 2 maintenance/custodian staffs), monitoring of fiscal affairs including the operations and capital budgets, collection of housing fees, and delinquencies, administering housing assignments and lease enforcement, supervision of facility maintenance, serving in the on-call duty rotation (including responding to incidents afterhours and weekends) development of marketing plans along with marketing and leasing materials, and management of contracts with outside vendors.

Work Hours:
Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and serving on an on-call duty rotation.

Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree is required. Demonstrated experience in college student housing, administration, leasing/marketing, customer service, and supervision are all desired.

Skills Required:
An ideal candidate will have strong experience in facilities management/maintenance and capital planning, marketing (print, online, and events), managing housing contracts/assignments, accounts receivables/payables. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with campus partners, students, staff, families, and community members are needed. Effective time management, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities will be necessary for success too.

Other Information

The Director is required to live onsite or within a predictable 30 minutes of the property. Salary commensurate with experience.
